Age 47, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend died peacefully in her sleep December 6, 2009 following a lengthy courageous battle with an illness.

The former Lori J. Swihart was born June 25, 1962 in Brunswick, Maine. She married Dr Thomas J Hyde on February 25, 2001. Lori was previously Chief Financial Officer of her family’s business, Saginaw Wilbert Vault Corporation. Her adventurous spirit included sky diving, scuba diving and spending as many hours as possible at the beach. She said she had salt water in her veins. Lorelei, you will be missed by everyone who knew beautiful you, for your ever loving kindness, and giving love to all you met.

Surviving are her husband, Dr Thomas J Hyde: her daughter Megan Davis and her fiancé, Jim McNalley; her father and mother, Jack & Cindy Swihart; 2 brothers, Todd (Tammy) Swihart and niece Sophia, and Jim (Dawn) Swihart and children, Asher, Aaron, Asa, and Abigail; grandmother, Helen Notman; Uncle and Aunt, Norm and Marylou Lathrop; Father and Mother in law, Jay & Joyce Hyde; sisters in law, Kristen (Dick) Winn and Kim Thompson; special friends, Lauren Preuss, Debra Wester, and Karen Graves who have supported Lori through many years of her life; several cousins; and her treasured pets including her dog, Dolce; and cats, Smokey and Ity Bitty.

Funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw. Lori’s brother, Pastor Jim Swihart will officiate. Per Lori’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may call at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the Humane Society of Saginaw County.
